Superman Returns Hits DVD in China, but wait... there's more...

Is it a bird?? ...Is it a plane??... no, its probably just lies and propaganda.

Ok, this is odd. as I'm reading about the imminent release of the new superman movie: Superman Returns on DVD, I spotted something a little.... strange??
Variety have been explaining how its gonna run to us -

"“Superman Returns” has been officially released on DVD in China, two months before its scheduled Nov. 28 release in North America. The Mandarin-language only release is part of an anti-piracy strategy and will be sold at prices comparable to pirated releases. It also has an encryption process that makes it difficult to make a DVD-quality copy. Fans in North America will have some big choices to make on Nov. 28, as WB will be releasing “Superman Returns” in a number of different editions, ranging from a single-disc offering to a 14-disc ultimate edition that includes all the Christopher Reeve films, the 1940s cartoon shorts and the Richard Donner cut of “Superman II.”

Erm, what was that??? Lemme just recap on the important bit -

"...WB will be releasing “Superman Returns” in a number of different editions, ranging from a single-disc offering to a 14-disc ultimate edition that includes all the Christopher Reeve films, the 1940s cartoon shorts and the Richard Donner cut of “Superman II."

Well shiver me timbers! I was always under the impression that Donner walked out on Superman II - In fact, I've heard it straight from the horses mouth (so to speak). Now, I know he has been rumoured to come back and re-edit the movie as he saw fit originally, rumours incidentally that Donner himself admitted to, but squashed saying he had faith in the fact that Supe Returns will be plenty, but evens so, to release so soon?
I can't help but think this is a load of tripe. There's just no feasible way this could have already happened without someone getting the news??? Is there???
Fingers crossed I'm wrong... here's hoping nonetheless!
That besides, a 14 disc ultimate edition???

mamma...mamma...!

You're welcome Ma'am...

*WOOOSH!*
