Christian Bale and Freddy Rodriguez team up for Harsh Times to show off some muscle and tatts. Bale plays a violent, uncontrollable psychopath desperate to get a job with the Department of Homeland Security, and Rodriguez is playing the part of the "Soldier of the Apocalypse's" best buddy who gets caught up in a lot of violent nonsense.
A BDM make no mistak, but a fine film for brutality and downright grit. Bale is outstanding as usual, and Rodriguez pulls out a remarkable performance after his questionable efforts in Poseidon.
