Blomkamp teams with Alex Garland on Halo Movie Project

Its no big deal to hear about a film adaptation of a game or even comic books (see previous posts today, yum yum!) but when a game adaptation of one of the biggest games around is announced with 26 year old Neill Blomkamp at the helm, guided by the illustrious sails of Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, two of the kiwi team that gave us LOTR, you've gotta go a little gooey inside!
Blomkamp has never done a feature, and although that creates a ripple of apprehention, we can speculate from his carrer to date in advertising that he'll hit us hard with a stylish and sleek interpretation of the Master Chief's attempts to save the world.
Another interesting addition to the mix is Beach writer Alex Garland, who's penning the screenplay for Blomkamp. Could go either way there.
As long as they don't cast DeCraprio (...oops!) I think we might be on to a winner.
Some of Blomkamps previous endevours include the Citreon "Technology Alive" advert, and a short movie about an alien invasion called "Alive in Joburg" - one to check out, make no mistake.
